Welp! I have been working on several different yoga projects. Quite honestly, nothing brings me more positive energy than being able to share my passion.
Since November, I have been teaching at a local school. The experience has been Ohm-azing watching how far these yogis have progressed in such a short amount of time; proof that consistency of practice is necessary. I believe this project has helped me become an even better student and teacher of yoga. We all have those days and the littles are the first to “show-and-tell” you exactly how they feel… and at that exact moment of time. For that reason, my cueing has to be on point and on the constant, because each practice and every class is completely different.
In the next couple-weeks, I will begin working with a top girls soccer team on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am stoked to see how the girls develop and progress throughout the spring season.
A couple times in May, I will be traveling to a school just outside of the city. I’ve already been preparing with the necessary equipment and planning to make these events a huge success!
This summer, along with teaching private sessions, group classes, and corporate events, I am planning to partner with a couple non-profits and local businesses on different community projects.
As I am finding my favorite neighborhood spots and areas throughout the city, the girls and I are continuing to search for the perfect spots to teach classes. Often times Ava will take a snapshot of an empty space with wooden floors, and Pi will point out a nice calming area “there’s the perfect space to teach yoga, mom!” Space is vitally important to me; as I believe it is necessary for a wholesome practice.

I am excited about the urban yoga project. I haven’t had many experiences with yoga, personally, but I am considering making it part of my morning routine. I really like how you’ve integrated the practice into all aspects in the community. Looking forward to future blogs.
